Ben - 3 years, 5 months

Ben is 3 years, 5 months old.  He is 40 inches tall and weighs 41.5 pounds.  He is shown here in the Canadian Graco Ultra Cargo.  Ben's brother David is also harnessed past 40 lbs.

Mom's Notes:  Ben was a big baby so rather than passing on his brother's old convertible seats that only rear-faced to 22lb, I bought him a new Century Accel which was the only seat available to me in Canada at the time that rear-faced higher. Unfortunately, that seat also has low top slots, so he outgrew it forward-facing by height quite early.  Rather than moving him to one of our other convertibles with higher slots, I figured I might as well go straight to a higher weight seat since he would most likely reach 40lb well before he was ready to move to a booster (he was 30lb at 16 months). So I got him an Ultra Cargo which harnesses to 48lb in Canada. His weight gain has really slowed down, so he will get a lot of necessary time weight-wise in this seat before he's ready for a booster. I'm just hoping he doesn't outgrow it by height first!
